Instructor Amir Niknazar is a part-time instructor at Modern Vision and is a Team Ascension Veteran in both training and competition. Not only is Amir an excellent wrestling instructor he also comes with over 8 years of Muay Thai training and 2 + years of Muay Thai Instruction.

  • 1-0 MMA Record (KO) at Purgatory I vs. Jesus Luna 1:44 of round 1
  • 2010 Ontario Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Featherweight Champion
  • Blue Belt in Ascension Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Omar Salvosa)
  • Currently ranked #1 in No-Gi Blue Belt in Ontario
  • 3 + Years as a star student training in Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling under the renown Valerieu Ostanov
  • Been wrestling since he was 10 years old (12 years training)
  • 8+ Years in Muay Thai
Amir is a steady Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor in the Ontario Jiu-Jitsu Association circuit. Won the no-gi Blue Belt division at the 2010 Ascension BJJ Open.
