"Animal" Andrew Cseh Dominates Opponent in first Professional Fight
June 26, 2010 Cincinatti Ohio, "Animal" Andrew Cseh (1-0 professional, 4-1 Amateur) stepped into the cage in his first professional Mixed Martial Arts fight and showed no nerves as he sent Jeremy Pender (3-2 professional, 9-3 Amateur) to the mat at 1:04 of round two winning by technical knockout. After a dominating performance in the first round Cseh continued to impose his will in the second by continuing to land nearly every punch he threw backing his opponent against the cage before landing a devastating body shot which stunned his opponent leading to a flurry of of strikes forcing the referee to stop the fight.
"I was confident that he (Pender) couldn't beat me anywhere the fight went. Our team is extremely good in all areas of the fight (striking, grappling and submissions) and I knew I could handle anything he tried," said Cseh. "Andrew keeps getting more and more impressive with each fight. He's a star in the making," said his coach Chris Bonfoco.
Cseh wasn't the only local fighter to fight at this event. Fonthill's Kevin "Slippery" Johnston (3-1) fought for the 155 pound title versus Kyle Lingg (7-0) losing in an extremely close and exciting fight by decision. "Johnston was great in that fight and had the win set early in the third round when Lingg landed a couple clean shots that gave him the decision. It was a fair decision and an excellent hard fought match by both fighters," said Coach Chris Bonfoco.

Welland's "The Cat" Matt DiMarcantonio Wins Second MMA Title
July 3, 2010, Lakeview Ohio, "The Cat" Matt DiMarcantionio (6-1) adds "Ohio Fighting Champion at 155 pounds," to his already impressive Mixed Martial Arts resume by defeating 2-time NCAA wrestling silver Medalist Joe Maiani (7-3) by submission at 1:24 of round 3. "Matt is an electric fighter who is dominant in all areas of the fight. He is incredibly fast and has the best motor of anyone I've ever met," says his coach Chris Bonfoco. "This fight was really important to me as Joe was an excellent challenge. He's a great wrestler and really tested me," said DiMarcantonio.
This is the second title now the DiMarcantonio possesses and it's likely not going to be his last as he is on 20 and keeps improving with every fight. "I've seen him fight 5 times now as well as the many of the other guys in his camp and man this guy and his team-mates are the real deal," says WEC Referee Jerry Po. The WEC is one of North America's premiere Mixed Martial Arts organizations owned by the famed UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships).
After a month of traveling around America's Mid-West DiMarcantonio and his team-mates finished an impressive 7-2 and will be fight free for the next seven weeks as they prepare for a busy Autumn with six more cards scheduled from late August through the end of November.
